PURPOSE:To reduce the number of assembling steps and achieve the reduction of production cost by hermetically mounting a liquid crystal cell via waterproof packing to a plastic substrate serving also as a back cover thereby providing the waterproof module. CONSTITUTION:After module constituting parts such as a switch spring 2, circuit substrate 3, IC 4 for watch, etc. are contained in the inner side of a plastic substrate 1, a liquid crystall cell 21 which has been applied with hardening treatment at its top opening part and is provided with a polarizing plate 20 is hermetically mounted via waterproof packing 6 by a cell retainer 22. A battery 8 is contained in the back side of the plastic substrate 1 and the tightness of the battery cover 9 and plastic substrate 1 is accomplished by a packing 10. |
