<p>The present invention provides an arrangement for the diffusion of substances between two fluids through semipermeable membranes which are arranged in a stack of at least two pairs of such membranes, a first fluid being arranged so as to be conducted from an inlet to an outlet between the membranes in these pairs, whilst a second fluid is arranged to be conducted from an inlet to an outlet outside the same membranes, the membranes in the said pairs being arranged so that they form a grating of channels therebetween for the first fluid by being joined to one another at a plurality of points adjacent membranes from different membrane pairs being joined together along their peripheries to form therebetween a closed space for the second fluid, which closed space is connected to the inlet and outlet for this fluid.</p> |
