The brake shoe employs anchor pins whose projecting ends are only part cylindrical. The corresponding ends of the brrake shoe flanges a*e provided with C-shaped bearing surfaces. The bearing surfaces in the operative position of the brake shoes, embrace the projecting ends of the anchor pins through an arc greater than 180 degrees, whereby the brake shoes are securely pivotally anchored to the anchor pin. The bearing surfaces on the brake shoe flanges present mouths having widths greater than a diametrical dimension of the pa*t-cyindrical projecting ends of the anchor pin. |
