Two standard two stroke engines for models are mounted in line opposite each other. A T-shaped connecting piece between them contains a gear wheel train. The crank-shaft of each engine turns a gear wheel and both of these wheels drive a common central gear. This in turn drives a gear on the shaft of the propeller of the model aeroplane. The two engines give two firing strokes per revolution and thus produce a more even turning moment. The gears increase the propeller speed and this reduces propeller vibrations.
