The anti-hijacking arrangement for passenger aircraft comprises an unbroken, penetration resistant partition (6) between cockpit (2) and cabin (1) and separate doors (3, 4) for the two. The voice communication system is one-way only, from cockpit to cabin, but a range of set messages can be sent the other way, showing on an indicator board (13) in the cockpit. For fitting to aircraft in service the partition can have a vertically hinged portion with a jam either side of a common door. When set for cockpit access it can be locked from that side.
