Lifting frame for concrete pipe - suspended from beam by chain loops which are tensioned by arms rotated by lifting slings

The lifting frame comprises a beam which is suspended from two slings. One end of each sling is connected to a lifting eye and the other is connected to one end of an arm. The two arms are pivoted between their ends to the beam. A pipe is secured below the beam by a chain loop near each end of the beam. When a lifting force is applied to the eye the arms rotate so that their lower ends bear on the pipe and tension the chains. Holes are provided along the beam to enable the arms to be fitted in different positions.
