PURPOSE:To obtain a base plate for a color filter having a surface contg. only slight unevenness, and to obtain thus a color panel contg. scarcely unevenness of display by coating a UV curing resin contg. no solvent on a base plate and then curing the resin by the irradiation with UV rays while pressing the coated surface with a transparent film. CONSTITUTION:A film of a non-solvent type UV curing resin is formed with a fixed film pressure on a travelling base plate 1 by coating using a roll coater 5. A transparent resin (PET) film 3 is fed from a feeding roll 7, passes through pressing rolls 9, 10, and is wound around a roll 8, wherein the winding speed of the transparent resin film is synchronized with a feeding speed of the base plate. The transparent resin film is pressed to the surface coated with the UV curing resin at a zone between the roll 9 and 10, and the UV curing resin is set by the irradiation with a lamp 4 between the roll 9 and 10. Thus, a color filter panel base plate having high surface flatness is obtd. by a simple process, and a color panel contg. scarce unevenness of display and having satisfactory optical characteristics is obtd. |
