<p>COLLAPSIBLE SUPPORTING FRAME An improved collapsible supporting frame having, in erect position, foldable side assemblies comprising vertically spaced substantially horizontal members, pivotally attached to substantially vertical members; collapsible means connecting said foldable side assemblies to each other; rigid members substantially parallel to said horizontal members and which are pivotally connected to the lower end of said vertical members; means to restrain unwanted collapsing of said collapsible means; and one front and one rear set of cross bars, each forming an "X" in the open position, each said bar having one end pivotally attached to a said vertical member while the other end is pivotally attached to one of said rigid members. This collapsible supporting frame folds forwardly and downwardly on top of said rigid members and simultaneously brings said rigid members together. Preferably, this collapsible supporting frame collapses and folds in one single operation after unlocking of the collapsing restraining means, and is particularly well adapted to provide a collapsible transportation device which is easily stored and transported.</p> |
