The machine is designed for sorting fruit and comprises several cylindrical rollers (1) installed in line. Each roller has apertures (3) over its surface, these being dimensioned for sorting different grades of fruit. Each roller is rotated by a long roller (4) mounted internally, and supported by a roller each end, in tracks (13, 14). The rollers are rotated by a flat belt (17) over part of their circumferences, a second belt (18) on the same shaft (9) also driving the long roller (4). The complete drive permits slip if fruit wedges in the holes and ejects it without damage.
