PURPOSE:To make it easy to take out or insert the work from or into the opening of a processing tank, in an electric discharge processing device to give an aventurine finish to the surface of a particularly long work, such as a roll, and at the same time to reduce the amount of processing liquid. CONSTITUTION:Roll 1 to be processed is held horizontally and rotated in processing tank 5. Electrode 7 is placed so as to face roll 1 to be processed at the opening of processing tank 5. At the same time, it is held at angle of inclination theta with respect to the surface of the processing liquid that satisfies the expression 0 deg.<theta<90 deg. (35 deg.- 45 deg. most suitable). By this, it is possible to reduce the amount of processing liquid compared with conventional devices. Since no electrode is placed on tank 6, it is easy to insert or take out roll 1 into or from the tank. |
