A clip for securing pipes or electric cables is made in two parts. One of these parts (10) is a plastics moulding with a C shaped arm (22) extending from a flat base (12) which has a transverse slot (13). The second part (11) is made from steel strip and has an upper tongue (27) which slides into the transverse slot of the plastics moulding. A spike (28) formed on the upper surface of the tongue retains it in the slot. A lower tongue (26) enables the clip to be fixed to the edge of a board or metal plate.
