<p>The band of bags comprises a hanging band (20) to which the bags are attached by means of hanging sections (24). Slits (30) are cut into the hanging sections (24) at the rear edges there of with respect to the feed direction in the filling device. These slits (30) make the inflation of the bags (22) easier by means of an air jet directed substantially to the bags plane against their filling openings. To initiate the separation of the front wall of the bags, at the free end of this front wall of the bags, additional openings (18) can be provided through which an air jet can be directed perpendicularly to the front wall of the bags. To increase the traverse zone (W) where the bags (22) can be separated from the hanging band (20) by means of a slit parallel to the feed direction, the slits (30) can be provided with a substantially transverse cut (30a) which extends transversally outwards from the inner end of the slits (30). </p> |
