The A.C. generator driven is from an auxiliary motor. The generator stator has 2n + 20 'T' shaped identical poles and is supplied by two fixed brushes riding on two take - off conductor rings. These are also connected to two rotating brushes built into the rotor frame. A distributor made up of conducting blades with cylindrical cross -sections is integral with the stator. Each blade is connected to the same end of the winding carried by the pole of the armature lying in the direction of the blade. The number of such blades is equal to 2n + 20 where n >= 0 and is a whole number. |
