Correlation system for periodic event in logical signal format - has control loop including series of adders, peak lopping circuit, delay and amplifier

The periodic event correlation system uses a correlation criteria of p from q. An analogue processing loop has an input analogue adder (1) and a step value detector. The detector receives the analogue signal from the adder and supplies a logic signal which is the result of the correlation. The loop includes in series with the adder, a peak lopping circuit (3) a delay circuit (4) an amplifier (5) and a comparator (6). The circuit consisting of the delay circuit and amplifier has a gain 'a' less than unity. The peak lopping circuit operates to the following double inequality:- 1+a+a2 V2 1n a+a2+ ----aP-1 where V2 is a step voltage value.
