<p>A combined heater provided with both a high-frequency dielectric heater and an electric heater. In operation, the full input electric power is applied to the electric heater upon starting of cooking to thereby reduce the rise time of the temperature in a cooking chamber. After the cooking chamber is heated up to a predetermined temperature, the input electric power to the electric heater is automatically controlled so as to keep the cooking chamber at the predetermined temperature. At the same time a high-frequency generator is operated at a relatively low power. Thus, this combined heater makes possible a cooking operation by the combined simultaneous heating of the dielectric heating and the electric heating in geographic areas where the electric power supply is inferior. In addition, energy saving may be expected in areas where electric power supply is normal condition. </p> |
