PURPOSE:To save labor in ion exchange chromatograph using a constant potential coulometer as the detector, by connecting two electrolytic cells of flow system in series at the outlet of a separation column, and setting different detecting conditions individulally. CONSTITUTION:The eluate in an eluate reservoir 1 is sent into a separation column 4 by a liquid feed pump 2. A specimen solution is added into a specimen injection port 3, and each separated component is led into a first electrolytic cell 5 in which a certain voltage is applied, and the current corresponding to each concentration is amplified in an amplifier 6, so that a chromatograph may be plotted in a recorder 7. The eluate from the cell 5 is blended with a reaction solution sent from a reaction solution reservoir 8 by a liquid feed pump 9 in a mixer 10, and the mixture solution is led into a second electrolytic cell 11 in which a certain voltage is applied. Only when a component not detected in the cell 5 reaches, the current corresponding to the concentration thereof is amplified in an amplifier 13, so that a chromatogram is plotted in a recorder 14. |
