<p>The vehicle roof-mounted luggage carrier has a moulded bottom (3) which is contoured to fit the shape of the roof and a moulded, separate lid to complete an aerodynamic shape. The rear of the lid can have upright fins to improve stability, and compensate for any increase in lateral wind resistance. The closed container has a boat like shape, with a profiled front end. It forms a low drag, watertight enclosure into which luggage can be secured. With the cover left off the container can also accommodate bulky loads, such as bicycles.</p> |
