<p>Plant protection compns. contain as active constituent cpds. with trivalent Al cations. Used for control of fungicidal and bacterial infections of plants is provided esp. as aq. solns. of AlCl3 or AlPO4. Herbicidal action is also shown. Compsn. may also contain Cu++, Fe++ of Mn++ or salicylate ions, Cu++ may be introduced as oxychloride or acetate, Fe++ and Mn++ as ferrous and manganous chlorides. Compns. and esp. active against Botrytis cinerea and activity is prolonged. Control of B. cinerea on vines is best using 0.3 to 0.6 kg/ha of Al+++ The herbicidal activity is usually at 2-4 kg/ha of Al+++ and may be used on foliage post-emergence.</p> |
