The security mounting for a car licence plate has a rectangular mounting which is mounted on the body by permanent rivets or bolts. The licence plate is slid into the mounting and secured by keyhole slots and headed bolts. It is held in position by an integral spring. The plate has weakened seams across the middle so that any force to pull the plate away from the mounting irreversibly damages the plate.
