PURPOSE:To keep the operation of a deodorizing apparatus normal, by equipping the apparatus, contg. activated carbon or metallic oxide catalyst, with temp. sensors for detecting reaction heat at inside in order to detect the reaction heat so as to find previously the deterioration of the catalyst exactly and simply. CONSTITUTION:Odorous gas 2 sucked and discharged by a blower 1 is mixed with ozone gas 4 from an ozonizer 3 and is introduced to a layer 6, which is installed in a reactor 5 and is packed with activated carbon or metallic oxide catalyst. Reaction heat generated in the packed layer 6 is detected by temp. sensors 7a, 7b, 7c. This method allows to find the life of the catalyst; a temp. sensor installed near the gas outlet especially makes it possible to find previously the service life of the deodorizing apparatus, securing timely replacement and regeneration of the catalyst. |
