The clasp comprises an element (1) which has at one end a flat part (3) with a pin (4) to engage in a hole (12) provided in the belt or strap which is to be connected to the clasp. A second tubular element (2) has a slide guide (7) designed to take the flat part (3) of the first element together with the end of the belt on the pin (4). An inner surface of the slide guide has a restriction (9) acting as a snap lock for the point of the pin (4). To fix the clasp the end of the belt having the hole (12) is inserted in the slide guide so that the pin (4) engages in the hole (12). The flat part (3) of the element (1) and the end of the belt placed on the pin (4) are pushed with force into the slide guide.
