The key operated lock is used for a day safe. This lock has a sliding bolt. Forced opening with a key ensures a short time locking so that door is opened only after specified delay. The sliding bolt (10) is operated by clock-work (11) which can be wound up. This time delay mechanism in the lock operates the sliding bolt (10) in conjunction with the main locking bolt (13). The clock-work is connected between the main locking bolt and the delay locking bolt.
