<p>PURPOSE:To provide a dust-collecting apparatus for use in electric furnaces such as metal-fusing furnaces wherein usual washing inside a windmill is made practicable by making a reverse use of high speed rotation of an impeller jetting water to the vicinity of the center thereof, and thus covering a compressed plane of the impeller and an inner plane of a casing with flowing water membrance. CONSTITUTION:A suction windmill 7 is connected to a gas outlet of a final dust collector in a closed electric furnace 1 for producing alloy iron. The windmill 7 has a device for injecting water to the vicinity of the center of the impeller, and also has a washing water collector 6. Also, the shape and position of and amount of water from the injection nozzles 17 are prepared so that the whole surface of a main plate 14 and a side plate 15 of a disc impeller may be x covered with water flowing from water-injecting pipes 19, 20, and the whole surface of the inner surface and a compressed plane of the blade plate 16 with water from a water-injecting pipe 18. If water is injected to the vicinity of the center of the impeller, water flows outward by centrifugal force and wind force, forming a flowing water membrane. Furtheremore, a flowing water membrane is formed on the inner surface of a casing 21 as water strikes from the outer end against the inner surface of the casing 21. The flowing water moves to the collector 6 together with a gas current.</p> |
