PURPOSE:To prevent scuffing, by offsetting a cylinder to the exhaust hole side to a crank shaft, and by reducing lateral pressure applied to a piston. CONSTITUTION:A piston engine for turning a crank shaft 2 is arranged by connecting a piston 9 reciprocating in a cylinder 7 and a wheel 3 of the crank shaft 2 by a connecting rod 4. The cylinder 7 is offset Y to the exhaust hole 8 side to the crank shaft 2, and a piston pin 6 is offset X to the opposite side to the exhaust hole 8 to a center of the cylinder. The tilt theta of the connecting rod 4 becomes small by these offsets, and lateral pressure Ftan theta applied to the piston 6 by explosive power F reduces. Thus, scuffing can be prevented because conditions causing the out-of- lubricating oil of a sliding surface of the piston 6 become easy. |
