<p>The lampshade is made from polygonal ring shaped elementS, giving a stepped outside surface which increases from the top downwards to the middle, then decreases towards the bottom. Each element, seen in plan, has each corner of the polygon bent inwards in a triangular manner which slopes, giving a narrow truncated conical section. This enables each element to support the one above. The whole may be formed as upper and lower portions with connections at the joint region.</p> |
