Piloting aircraft during take=off - involves instrument aided control adjustment taking account of speed and aircraft angle of attack

During aircraft take off the pilot must adjust the controls to achieve a particular aircraft angle of attack. Actual and demanded angles are compared taking into account the aircraft unstick speed and the angle is displayed by pitch bar on the flight director instruments. A central inertial navigation system provides a speed signal which is filtered and gain controlled and added to the aircraft flight slope signal to obtain a total shape signal. After filtering the signal is subtracted from aircraft flight slope signal. A matching circuit processes the signal for subtraction from the difference in actual and demanded speeds. The resultant signal is applied to a voting circuit whose output is connected via matching amplifier and limiter to flight director pitch bar.
