Pictorial work reproduction process - with photographic gelatin film contg. transparent reinforcing strip along edges applied to cloth to which relief material has been applied

The process reproduces pictorial works and particularly pictures on a cloth surface by photographing the original. The surface is prepared by forming on it relief portions corresponding to those of the original, the image of the latter being projected onto it and the relief portions copied using a pasty mass which will harden. The photograph is then prepared and its gelatine film transferred to the surface after separation from the paper. The gelatine film is applied directly to the surface and covered along the edges by a transparent reinforcing strip.
