CONSTITUTION:The display operation region of the Y direction electrode of the thin film EL matrix display panel EL is electrically split to the right halt A1 and left half A2 at the boundary of center, forming video elements of m x n together with the X direction electrode. Further, the X direction electrodes 1 to m are sequentially scanned with the scanning driver switch groups SS1 to SSm, and SS1 to SSm'. Further, the Y direction electrodes 1 to n split into two are driven with the data driver switch group SD1 to SDn/2 driven with the scanning information. The switch group SD1 to SDn/2 is split into two with the separation diodes D1 to Dn. Further, discharge circuit is formed at the scanning electrode in discharge, and the switch S2 applying refresh pulse at the end of one field and the switching elements SI and SI' bounding the electrodes at refresh are provided. |
