The piston bolt is for liquid cooled pistons with a lengthways hole in which a tubular oil guide bush is fitted, and which forms with the piston bolt a ring-shaped hollow space to receive coolant. To fix the oil guide bush (5) in the piston bolt (1), in opposing ring-shaped recesses (9, 10) of the oil guide bush (5) and piston bolt inner wall (6) retainers (11) are provided, held in position by axially pliable spring units (12) fitted in the lengthways hole (2). The retainers (11) can either be steel balls on a wire, whilst the spring units (12) are made of ring-shaped, axially pre-tensioned spring plate.
