<p>A safety device for fixing vehicle wheels 1, 2 on studs 4, 5 of a brake drum 3 consists of at least one elastic metal plate 8 drilled with at least two holes 9, 10 which enable it to be mounted on at least two studs, the plate being flexible between the holes, so that the tightening of the nuts 6, 7 cooperating with the studs causes the plate to bend, and act as a spring washer. One nut 7 may be captive in the plate 8. The device may comprise two curved plates riveted together back-to-back. The device may be a complete ring with a series of stud holes. <IMAGE></p> |
