<p>In office printing-machines e.g. typewriters, with typing roller and a strip of sheet metal for guiding the paper to be typed upon, the paper guidance section is claimed. The sheet metal strip surrounds part of the circumference of the roller whilst being evenly spaced away from it. It has several openings allowing spring-loaded pressure rollers to bear upon the typing roller. That surface of the metal strip opposite the typing roller (including the openings in it) is covered with an elastic PTFE film whose friction on paper is lower than the friction of the typing roller on paper. The film may be glued to the sheet metal strip.</p> |
