The rounded rear edge is mostly used on footwear suitable for sporting activities. The sole (2) of the footwear has a heel (3) with a rear edge chamfer (4). The chamfer is divided from the rest of the heel by a line (6) enclosing with the footwear longitudinal axis (X-X) an angle (alpha). The symmetry line (9) of the chamfer starting from the intersection of dividing line (6) with footwear longitudinal axis (X-X) is perpendicular to the dividing line (6) and encloses with the footwear longitudinal axis (X-X) an acute angle (beta) positioned in such a way that the larger area (5a) of the chamfered surface is on the outside (13) of the footwear.
