Hydrodynamic shaft seal - is PTFE ring gasket with undulating inner edge

Hydrodynamic shaft seal has a yielding sealing section consisting of an elastomeric annular circular disc (gasket), whose inner edge is buckled or has an undulatingly variable inner dia. The wavy outline of the inner edge is defined by circular arcs whose radius of curvature is 75-90% of the inner radius of the gasket. Pref. the gasket is made of PTFE.
