The night-time reading spectacles have on both sides of the glasses (2) miniature electrical bulbs (3) inserted into the spectacle frame (1) on the side away from the wearer. The bulbs are connected to batteries via a cable and a switch (4). The ends of the clip (6) on the glass side may have a cavity and can each hold a battery. The cavities may have a swivelling or clamping cover. The hinge of the spectacle clip may be designed as the lamp switch.
