Load transfer system - with palletised load on low lift truck transferred to a conveyor via intermediate conveyors

Palletised loads are carried on a wheeled low lift truck between two chain or belt conveyors arranged parallel to one another and in alignment with a further conveyor (4). Battens (8) are placed between the pallet base battens (7) and extend beyond either side of the pallet. The truck platform is lowered leaving the load carried by battens (8) between the belt conveyors and the truck is withdrawn. As the belt conveyors transfer the loads to conveyor (4) the battens (8) drop between the adjacent ends of the conveyors.
