External launcher for torpedo - has light housing filled with preserving fluid and fitted with pressure control membrane

The torpedo housing comprises a flexible plastic cover clipped to the outside of the submarine and filled with a preserving fluid (4). The pressure inside the launcher is equalised by a membrane (6) at one end of the housing. The torpedoes can be mounted in simple arrays on the outside of the submarine and require no attention over long period. The lightweight housing does not affect the trim of the craft.
