Cylindrical tool shank fixing ring - has two halves forced into shank groove by rubber ring

The fixing ring fastnes cylindrical tool shank into a tool holder. The shank end has a circumferential groove at one end for clamping a stop ring. Axial forces acting on the tool are accommodated directly while the tool is readily released. The clamping stop ring consists of two parts (7, 8) placed into groove and contacting groove bottom and clamping face of shank holder. These hlaves are held by a rubber ring (9) together and pushed into groove. The split ring has rectangular cross section with circumferential groove for rubber ring.
