A much cheaper but equally efficient dispenser for delivering fluid processing materials into the liquor tank of a freely swinging washing machine, according to programme, has an air pump which sets up a cushion of compessed air above the stock of processing materials in its container. This is connected to the liquor tank by a line in which a programme controlled valve is fitted. The air pump is formed by pneumatic prop supporting the washing aggregate.
