PURPOSE:To manufacture a lange-diameter thick-wall heat-shrinkable thimble of stable quality, by irradiating an olefin copolymer, drawn into a film, with electron rays, followed by molding the copolymer film wrapped around a core under heating. CONSTITUTION:A compound comprising an olefin copolymer and 10 pants by wt. of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer is kneaded, passed between rolls, and drawn at a ratio of 5-10 by calendering into a film, which is crosslinked by irradiation with electron rays, then wrapped around of core in the form of a cylinder and molded under heating. EFFECT:The heat-shinkable thimble usable as molded parts for cable connection or ends of high reliability can be obtained. |
