1,3-Benzo:dioxin carboxylate derivs. - useful for treating hyperlipidaemia, cardiac insufficiency and angina

Benzodioxin carboxylate derivs. of formula (I) in racemic or optically active forms are new. R1 is 2,3-dihydroxypropanyl, (2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxolan-4-yl) methyl or dialkylaminoalkyl in which the alkyl has 1-4C. R2 is H or 1-5C alkyl. R3 is H, 1-5C alkyl or phenyl. R4 and R5 are each H or halogen. Cpds. (I) are useful for treatment of hyperlipidaemia, atheromatous cardiac insufficiency and chronic anginal states.
