Fold away type drawgear for car - has ball joint which folds flat and enters housing when telescopic supports are pushed backwards

The trailer drawgear for a car has a vertical ball joint (7) fitted at the end of a horizontal frame in turn fixed to the vehicle chassis. The frame has two telescopic parts (1) and a horizontal housing (6) for the ball joint. The ball joint is pivoted at its base to enter the housing when folded down and the telescopic parts are pushed in. The base of the ball joint has two sets of bolts welded on to hold it in either position.
