PURPOSE:To apply step widths according to dot consitution of image patterns to charging signal and enable recording of high flexibility to be performed by subsequently applying arbitrarily set addition values to the initial value. CONSTITUTION:Scanning start signal S3 causes a switching circuit 21 to input a video initial value Y0 to a register 23 and loading to be effected by timing signal S4. At the same time, dot data are also set in a shift register 13 and if the output S2 is 1, and AND gate 16 opens, through which the analog voltage corresponding to the video initial value Y0 is outputted from a digital-analog converter 17. Next, the output Y0+DELTAY of an adder 22 is inputted to a register 23 via the switching circuit 21 because the scanning start signal becomes 0. Y0+DELTAY is loaded by the next timing signal S4, and the shift register 13 is also shifted. From this point on, the similar operations take place and the charging signal is applied to a charging electrode 3 via amplifier 18. |
