<p>The dictionary stores words or word groups for different languages which have the same meaning. A word in one language is entered via an input keyboard and a display field employing light-emitting diodes or a fluidic crystal cell provides the word with the same meaning in a different language. The linking between the words of the same meaning for different languages is provided by microprocessors, by electronic stores or by using recording tapes along which the corresp. words are recorded adjacent one another. When the words are recorded along a tape each word is associated with a reference symbol, the entered word and this symbol indicated by the display field until the corresp. word is located via the symbol.</p> |
