The coolant is supplied to the articles or materials to be cooled via a phase separator (1) which is under the pressure of a storage tank. The phase separator (1) has an outer and inner container (2a, 2b) as well as a coolant supply line (5) and a coolant removal line (6). To ensure perfect functioning, an electric measuring arrangement (10) with a lower and an upper measuring point (11, 12) for determining the liquid level is arranged in the phase separator. The measuring points (11, 12) are designed as limit-value transmitters with resistance measuring sensors and are connected via a control device (13) to a valve (9) of the phase separator (1) for letting off the vapours rising out of the coolant. In the event of the liquid level being lowered below the lower measuring point (12), the valve (17) for letting off coolant vapour is opened, as a result of which liquid coolant then flows out of the storage tank via the coolant supply line (5) into the phase separator (1). In the event of the liquid level rising above the upper measuring point (11), the valve (9) for letting off coolant vapour is closed. <IMAGE> |
