PURPOSE:To prevent the warpage of head and the occurrence of uneven printing and obtain distinct printing by forming the mounting plate for ceramic substrate in such a shape that narrow width parts are provided in its approximate central part and providing temperature differences in the thickness direction with the narrow width parts in-between. CONSTITUTION:Heating elements 3 are evaporated in alignment on the top surface of a ceramic substrate 1. The (a) face of the mounting plate 2 is worked with good straightness, and the substrate 1 is corrected and bonded onto the face (a) so as to correct the warpage of the ceramic substrate 1 and provide mechanical strength thereto. The mounting plate 2 is made in I-section construction so as to increase the second moment of area, widen heat radiation area and prevent temperature rise. Further, the (c) part is so constituted as to be apart from the heating elements 3 so as to produce temperature differences between the same and the (b) part. Hence, the warpage of the thermal head owing to bimetal effect may be minimized, the occurrence of uneven printing prevented and distinct printing obtained. |
