The pre-stressed concrete, reinforced girder is T-shaped and consists of a web (1) and a shoulder (2). On at least part of the sides of the web (1) are notches (5, 6) which are open on the upper surface of the girder. The notches (5, 6) are shallower than the size of their surface. The nothces (5, 6) have at least one edge whic h is not parallel to the axis of the girder. The notches (5, 6) can be raised or recessed in relation to the surface of the girder. The notches are several millimetres deep for side dimensions in the order of several centimetres. The distance between successive notches is of the same order of magnitude as their side dimensions. At least one edge of the notches is slanted. Each girder is removed from its mould easily, and possesses a good keying surface.
