<p>Injection moulding of tyres is effected by placing the mould cavities, in which the sidewalls are to be moulded, under vacuum before the injection of the moulding mixt. by suction of the air at several points disposed symmetrically relative to the axis of the mould, close to the end zone of the sidewalls where these join with the crown. The vacuum is maintained during the injection moulding of the sidewalls, and the injection of the mixt. is elected through several openings in the heel zones of the sidewalls. There is efficient removal of the air from the mould before injection of the rubber mixt. The uniformity and quality of the moulded type are considerably improved.</p> |
