Electro-acoustic transducer consisting of an oscillation coil and a diaphragm is mfd. by winding the coil wire which is coated with a thermoplastics insulating layer onto a tubular member composed of a two-layer plastics foil (3), of which the inner layer (4) is heated to m.pt. and the outer layer (5) is heat resistant at temp. at which the wound coil is baked. Following baking of the outer layer (5), the inner layer (4) is used as a support for the diaphragm (19) which is bonded to the outer layer and coil by renewed heating of the outer layer. Used in diaphragm pumps or homogenisers. Accurate winding of coil and use of thermally stable inner layer improves quality of transducer.
