A continuously operating centrifuge to separate a mixt. of solids and liq. consists of a revolving vertical drum screen. The application device for the feed and the discharge device for the solids consists of endless belts with flights which are driven by a common chain. A safe discharge is ensured under all working conditions and a gentle handling of the solids, which are esp. sugar crystals.
