<p>The compsn. contains a carbohydrate (I), size, filler and water. (I) is D-glucose, sucrose, sorbitol, starch, L-tyrosine, epichlorihydrin, d-sorbinose, lactose, raffinose, dextrin and/or gelose. The size is pectin, alginate, glycolgen, araban and/or polymannuronic acid and the filler is kaolin or bolus, Ca sulphate and/or Ba sulphate. The compsn. also contains PVC or polyamide, Na (tri)-acetate, starch, hexamethylenetetramine, polyethylene glycol, polyvinylpyrrolidone, (poly)acrylamide, polyprene, tectol, ethylene-diamine or 1,6-hexane-diamine to increase the resistance to tearing and breaking; and melamine/HCHO, triamino-triazine, polyethylene-imine, Si, aminotriazine, HCHO, triamino-1,3,5-triazine or glycoside to increase the wet strength. ZnS, TiO2, BaSO4, blancophore, baryta white, Al silicate and Mg Silicate can be added as whitener. The compsn. gives paper with esp. good resistance to tearing, breaking, wet strength and writing qualities. Cellulose is replaced by a combination of a carbohydrate and a gelatinous compsn. Paper mfr. is much quicker than usual, costs are much lower, the current consumption is lower, there is no environmental pollution and further clearing of forests is avoided.</p> |
